- Our mission is to provide a secure and enjoyable environment for cannabis use and appreciation.
Membership Rules
- Age Requirement: Membership is open to individuals at least 21 years old at the time of signing this document.
- Conduct: Respectful and responsible behavior is mandatory. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary actions.
- Substance Policy:
- Bringing outside cannabis products into the club is prohibited. All cannabis products must be acquired at the clubhouse.
- Members may store unfinished products in our storage lockers for future use. Re-entry with previously purchased products is not allowed.
- Search Policy: The club reserves the right to search members’ belongings for prohibited products at any time while on club property.
- Smoking and Vaping Policy:
- Smoking, vaping, and combustion of cannabis products are allowed inside the club.
- Tobacco smoking is prohibited, but nicotine vapes are permitted.
- Guest Policy: Guest allowances vary by membership level. All guests must comply with club rules.
- Disciplinary Actions: Violation of any rules may result in removal from the property, temporary bans, or permanent expulsion. No refunds of club dues will be issued in such cases.
- Legal Compliance: All local, state, and federal laws regarding cannabis must be followed.
- 1 day membership vouchers are considered with audit-only privileges, meaning full voting rights do not apply to 1 day only memberships.
- No weapons are allowed to be openly carried on club premises.
Dues Collection Process
- Billing Cycle: Club dues are billed on a monthly basis. The billing cycle starts on the first day of each month.
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made via credit/debit card, direct bank transfer, or through an online payment platform specified by the club.
- Payment Due Date: All dues are due by the 5th of each month. A reminder email will be sent three days before the due date.
- Late Payments:
- A grace period of 10 days post the due date is allowed for late payments without incurring any penalty.
- If payment is not received by the 15th of the month, a late fee of [specify amount/percentage] will be applied.
- Missed Payments:
- In case of missed payments beyond the grace period, the member will be notified and access to club facilities may be temporarily suspended.
- Members facing financial difficulties are encouraged to communicate with the club's management to discuss potential payment arrangements.
- Repeated Delinquency:
- Repeated failure to pay dues (e.g., missing payments for two consecutive months) may lead to a review of the member's status and possible termination of membership.
- Reinstatement:
- Members who have been suspended for non-payment can be reinstated upon full payment of outstanding dues, including any applicable late fees.
- Payment Disputes:
- Any disputes regarding payments must be raised within 30 days of the billing date. The club will investigate and resolve disputes in a timely manner.
Membership Levels:
- Basic Membership- May enter club and use facilities 2 times for free, but they do not have voting rights and receive no other benefits. Free members must provide phone number and email address so the committee can communicate with them. The first 2 free entries are considered an "audit" period so prospective members can decide if they enjoy the club. After the audit period, basic members will be required to pay dues on a per-day basis. Any day the member would like to access the club, they will pay a 1 day membership fee. This fee is typically $5, but this rate is subject to change. Basic Members will only have access to club apparatus in the "C" tier.
- Premium Membership- All benefits of Basic Membership, invitations to VIP events, reduced storage locker fees, 10% discount on club purchases, and Access to B & C tier Apparatus.
- Elite Membership- All Premium benefits, plus a 15% discount on lounge purchases, access to monthly freebies, free locker storage, and full member voting rights after 3 continuous months of Elite Membership. Elite members will also have access to A, B and C Tier apparatus.
- The committee reserves the right to adjust these membership levels at any time with due notice of 1 month to existing Elite & Premium level members.
Liability Waiver
- Assumption of Risk: Members assume all risks related to cannabis use and exposure to smoke.
- Release of Liability: Members release the club and its employees from any related claims or liabilities.
- Indemnification: Members will indemnify the club against any claims resulting from their actions.
- Health Disclaimer: Members acknowledge their health risks and choose to consume cannabis at their own risk.
- Amendments: The club may amend rules and terms as necessary.
Roles and Rights of Club Members
- Participation: Members have the right to attend meetings, events, and activities organized by the club.
- Voting: Each member has the right to vote on club matters such as amendments to rules, election of officers, and other significant decisions.
- Voice: Members can express their opinions, provide feedback, and contribute ideas for the betterment of the club.
- Privacy and Respect: Members have the right to have their privacy respected and to be treated fairly within the club environment.
Conducting Club Meetings
- Purpose: The primary reason for holding meetings is for decision-making. They also serve as a platform for members to focus on roles and responsibilities, share ideas, and plan for the future.
- Types of Meetings:
- Annual General Meetings (AGMs): To recap the year's progress, chart future directions, and elect new members or officers.
- Extraordinary Meetings: Held when urgent decisions need to be made between general meetings.
- Committee Meetings: Regular or as-needed meetings to consider specific issues.
- Retreats: More extended meetings, often offsite, for in-depth discussions or planning.
- Meeting Structure: Meetings can vary in formality. Decisions may be made through formal voting or more informal methods. Meetings can be open to all members or closed for confidential matters.
Voting on Amendments and Officers
- Election Process: Members participate in the election of club officers at the AGM or designated election meetings.
- Amendment Proposals: Members can propose amendments to club rules or policies. These proposals are typically discussed and voted on at meetings.
- Voting Method: Voting can be done by show of hands, secret ballots, or electronic voting, depending on the club's preference and the nature of the decision.
Committee Responsibilities
- The Committee is responsible for managing the club on behalf of the members, including planning, policy development, communication, resource management, and decision-making in the club's best interest.
Severability Clause
- If any part of this agreement is deemed unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force and effect.
Acknowledgment
- By signing or entering club premises, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions set by The Secret Garden.
